| * The mission of the Immaculate Conception
After Care Program follows the general principles described in the School
Handbook. It specifically fosters the Catholic Christian values expressed
in the Salesian philosophy established by Don Bosco which is rooted in REASON,
RELIGION and LOVING KINDNESS. These principles are followed to enhance the
total growth of the student and help to ensure a safe environment. It is
also our mission to provide a service that is financially feasible to parents
who are in need of morning and aftercare. The morning and aftercare program
is under the supervision of the Principal, the Director and the staff members.
It is also our mission to provide the best quality care for the students
of Immaculate Conception School.
Rules * Students must go directly to their designated classrooms immediately
following the After Care dismissal announcement. (Students in grades Kindergarten
thru 6th are escorted by the After Care Staff to their classrooms.) If
the students have an after school activity, they must first sign-in with
the Staff to make them aware of the activity and where they will be meeting.
* From 3:00-4:00 p.m., all After Care students in grades 1st - 8th will
have "Study Hall". Students must be seated and quiet. They are
required to: * In the event the After Care student will be going home with a classmate's parent or a person not listed on the registration form, parental permission in the form of a note explaining the departure must be given to Mrs. Rawle or to the aftercare teacher in the morning as soon as the student arrives to school. * All students are offered a juice and a snack each day during “Snack
Time” at 4:00pm. Snacks are only offered at this designated time.
* Students and Staff are expected to actively participate during prayer time. * Students are allowed to wear their P.E. uniform in After School Care. no other clothes may be worn unless it is a "Dress Down Day". * During playtime each age group must play in the designated area * Students must ask permission to go to the bathroom. The 7th & 8th grade bathrooms and the cafeteria bathrooms are the only bathrooms to be used by the students in After School Care. Students must conduct themselves in a proper manner in the bathroom to maintain safety and a clean facility. * Students must avoid playing near the gates under the shelter. They must alert a Staff person to retrieve a ball outside of the school grounds or on the roof of the shelter. * Students are responsible for returning the equipment to the proper

permission from a Staff person. * Students must speak in a respectful manner to After Care Staff and
to their peers. * Students who fail to follow these rules will remain in the cafeteria
After 4:00 p.m. if you need to contact After Care, please call Monday thru Thursday Schedule 3:00 in designated classrooms. 4:05 - 4:15 p.m. Students report to the cafeteria for prayers and * PK-3, PK-4, & Kindergarten Students also report to the cafeteria
each day at 5:00 p.m. Friday Schedule 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. Students remain in their assigned after care class rooms. *PK-3, PK-4, & Kindergarten Students also report to the cafeteria
on Fridays at 5:00 p.m. Rainy day schedule for Monday thru Thursday 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Students complete homework with teacher 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. Students receive snacks in the classrooms. 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Students report to the cafeteria. •ON RAINY DAYS FOR GRADES 1ST THRU 8TH, THE STUDENTS WILL REMAIN
IN THEIR CLASSROOMS UNTIL 12:15 p.m. Early Dismissal Schedule 12:15 - 3:15 p.m. Students participate in special scheduled 3:15 - 5:00 p.m. Students play in the gym and assigned areas. 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Students report to the cafeteria. On Early Dismissal days the After Care students are allowed to bring board games and Game Boys to play with in After School Care. *PK-3, PK-4, & Kindergarten students are napping from 1:00-2:15 p.m. in their homeroom classrooms. At 3:00 p.m. the children receive a snack with juice. At 3:15 p.m., Kindergarten after school students will be brought to Hebert
Hall and remain until 5:00 p.m. At. 5:00 p.m. they will go to the cafeteria
as usual. Sign-In and Sign-Out * The sign-in and sign-out policy is designed to provide protection for the students and parents. It is also to assure the students’ presence at any time they remain in Morning care (6:45 am to 7:30 am) or in Aftercare (3:00 pm until the students are signed out). * Morning care students must report to the cafeteria. Aftercare students must go directly to their designated classrooms at dismissal time. * Any students registered for ASC and participating in extra curricular activity MUST FIRST sign in with the appropriate staff person and report where they will be meeting. Students MUST again sign-in after the activity is finished. Student will be suspended from an extra-curricular activity if they do not sign in before the activity begins. * Students must be signed out daily by a parent, legal guardian and/or adults listed on the registration forms or/and emergency cards. * Persons not listed on the registration form and emergency card will
not be allowed to sign-out any aftercare student. * Students must arrange with their parents at home if they will be allowed to leave the school with a friend in Aftercare. A permission note written by parent of the student must be given to Mrs. Rawle in the morning before the school day begins. * Students are not allowed to use the phone to make arrangements at any time at school in order to sign-out with another adult or a classmate’s parent.
